The Himachal Board of Secondary Education has finally granted lifelong recognition to the Teacher Eligibility Test certificate in the state, following the orders of the Union Human Resource Department. This lifelong validity will be given to all TET certificates issued from August 16, 2011. Suresh Kumar Soni, president of the State Board of School Education informed that the validity of the certificate in the past was 7 years.
He said that certificates of those candidates who had passed the TET examination in 2012, which had a validity of 7 years, will now hold lifelong validity. However, these certificates will not be reissued but would be accepted on the basis of the new orders
