Kangra’s City Hospital selected for ‘Environment Leadership Award’

Himachal govt to felicitate health facility with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh in Shimla on June 5
The City Hospital at Ghurkari (Matour) in Kangra has received the Environment Leadership Award- 2022-23 from the Himachal Pradesh government.
Sharing this information, City Hospital Managing Director Dr Pradeep Makkar, Dr Ashish Garg and Dr Rajiv Dogra said that the award had been given in the biomedical waste management category.
He said in this award, a citation and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh would be given to City Hospital-Kangra at a programme to be organised at the Gaiety Theatre in Shimla on June 5.
“It is a matter of great pride for the City Hospital. Our five-member team will participate in the programme in Shimla. Our hospital keeps making every possible effort from time to time to save the environment.
We also undertake plantation from time to time. Human life is dependent on environment and for this we all should work together to protect the environment. There is no better medicine than the environment to preserve human life,” said Dr Makkar.
