Dharamshala: Kangra district Youth Congress former president Vijay Inder Karan flayed Congress turncoat and current BJP candidate for Dharamshala Assembly by-elections. Sudhir Sharma, for his betrayal.
Karan asserted that the people of Dharamshala will not stand with corrupt individuals or betrayers, in reference to Sharma aligning with the BJP party.
Karan pointed out the need for transparency in the utilization of funds, especially those allocated for projects like the Smart City initiative when Sharma was the urban development minister in the previous Congress government.
He criticized the lack of visible Union government efforts during times of crisis, contrasting it with the swift actions taken by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who promptly donated his entire salary during the calamity.
Karan stressed the importance of upholding the dignity and rights of the Gorkha community, promising dedicated efforts to ensure their empowerment. He concluded by affirming the community’s awareness of Sudhir Sharma’s actions and their determination to not be swayed by deceptive tactics.
