Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has drawn Khalistani inference following the slapgate incident involving the newly elected Mandi BJP MP at the Chandigarh airport on Thursday (June 6, 2024).

Kangana was allegedly slapped by a woman Central Industrial Security Force constable who alleged that she was upset with a statement given by the actor during the 2022-21 farm agitation that “elderly Punjab women were participating in the dharna at the Haryana-Delhi border after being paid a mere Rs 100”. The constable, Kulwinder Kaur, had claimed that her mother too was among the protesters.

Rangoli Chandel took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “Khalistanio bas yehi aukaat hai tum logo ki…peechey se plan karna aur attack karna… but my sister’s spine is made of steel… she is going to handle this on her own… but Punjab tera kya hoga #farmersprotest was khalistani adda… once again proved!! This was serious security threat… need to take this to apex!!”

In another story she wrote, “Suspend karne se isko farak nahi padega… moti rakam aa gayi hogi khalistaniyo se… remand pe lena padega isko.”

Kangana Ranaut had posted a video in which she revealed that she had asked the constable for the reason behind the slap. The guard allegedly replied that she was a supporter of the farmer protests and was upset with Kangana’s stance on the issue.

The actor reassured her followers and the media, stating, “Hello, friends! I am receiving numerous calls from the media and my well-wishers. Firstly, I want to assure everyone that I am safe and perfectly fine. The incident that occurred today at Chandigarh airport took place during a security check.

As I proceeded forward, the CISF security guard stationed at the other cabin waited for me to pass by and then struck me on my face. She also verbally abused me. When I questioned her about the assault, she stated that she supported the farmer protests. While I am safe, my concern lies in addressing the growing threats of terrorism and extremism in Punjab.”

Following the allegations, the CISF woman constable was suspended from her duties. Officials have confirmed that an FIR had been filed against her.
