Dharamshala: Divyangna Trivedi (21), driven by her profound love for music, achieved the top runner-up position in the “Voice of Dhauladhar” contest held during the Dharamshala Spring Carnival. She participated in senior category. Despite lacking a musical background, Divyangna’s exceptional talent shone through, earning her recognition in the musical competition.
Her father, a retired district & session judge currently serving as the Chairman of the Permanent Lok Adalat in Pathankot, Punjab, and her mother, an educationist holding the position of principal at a senior secondary school in Dari, provide a stark contrast to Divyangna’s passion for music.
The contest, which featured approximately 30 participants, held auditions at the auditorium of Dharamshala Degree College, with the final rounds taking place on the main stage of the carnival accompanied by the renowned Swastik Band.
During the auditions, Divyangna showcased her vocal prowess with the rendition of “Arziyan” from the movie Delhi-6. In the final round, she chose to mesmerize the audience with her performance of the famous Bollywood song “Nit Khair Manga Sonya Me Teri.”
Judges praised Divyangna’s performances, highlighting her evident love and passion for music. Remarkably, she is a final-year psychology student at Dharamshala Degree College.
