JNUSU Elections: ABVP Launches Hostel-to-Hostel Campaign, list of candidates

Delhi: The ABVP has revealed its lineup of potential candidates for the upcoming JNUSU elections, initiating a vigorous hostel-to-hostel campaigning drive to secure victory.
Among the candidates announced by ABVP are Arjun Anand, Umeshchandra Ajmera, Govind Dangi, Manjul Pawar, Kavya Pal, Medha Singh, Deepika Sharma, Unnati Panjikar, A. S. Stalin, Kanishk Gaur, Abhishek Singh, and Akash Kumar Ravani.
From these contenders, the final four will vie for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary on the JNUSU Central Panel. ABVP activists are actively engaging with students through campaigns conducted in hostels and classrooms, highlighting the positive initiatives undertaken for student welfare over the past five years.
In addition to the top leadership positions, elections will also be held for 42 counselors across 16 schools and one special combined center. Today marked the deadline for nomination submissions, with tomorrow serving as the final date for withdrawal of nominations.
The elections are scheduled for March 22, prompting ABVP to kickstart its pre-campaign efforts. Volunteers are meticulously reaching out to students across JNU, acquainting them with ABVP’s commendable track record in addressing campus-related issues, admissions, examinations, results, hostels, and fellowship concerns.
Vikas Patel, Secretary of ABVP JNU, affirmed the organization’s readiness for the elections. He emphasized a student-centric approach, with the potential candidates poised to address pertinent student issues and concerns. ABVP is set to release its manifesto based on extensive dialogue with students, underscoring a commitment to a responsible and effective JNUSU.
Throughout its tenure in JNU, ABVP has remained singularly focused on understanding student needs and advocating for impactful solutions, ensuring a vibrant and proactive student union.
