The Islamic State-Khorasan (ISIS-K) claimed responsibility for the bomb blast at a mosque in Afghanistan’s Kunduz during Friday prayers that killed at least 55 people and wounded several others. The militant group said the blast targeted Afghanistan’s Shia minority and the Taliban. According to the UN, the blast was a “third deadly attack this week apparently targeting a religious institution”.
