
CNG price hiked by ₹2.28 to ₹47.48 per kg after natural gas price rise
Retail price of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Delhi-NCR has been hiked from Saturday after the Centre increased natural gas prices by 62%. CNG will now cost ₹47.48 per kg in Delhi after a ₹2.28 hike. In Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, CNG price has been hiked by ₹2.55 to ₹53.45 per kg, Indraprastha Gas, Delhi-NCR’s sole CNG supplier, said.
Working with India on vaccine certificates: UK after India’s reciprocal quarantine move
The UK has said it is working with India on technical cooperation to expand its recognition of COVID-19 vaccine certification to people vaccinated by a relevant public health body in India. This comes after India said that all travellers from the UK will have to quarantine for 10 days after arriving in India, irrespective of their COVID-19 vaccination status.

India reported 24,354 new COVID-19 cases and 25,455 recoveries in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. India’s active caseload dropped to 2,73,889, the lowest in 197 days. With this, the country’s total COVID-19 cases reached 3,37,91,061, while the death toll surged to 4,48,573.

Centre declares Chacha Chaudhary as mascot for Namami Gange project
The Ministry of Jal Shakti announced that comic book character Chacha Chaudhary has been selected as the mascot for the Centre’s Namami Gange Programme. At an estimated budget of ₹2.26 crore, the National Mission for Clean Ganga plans to develop and distribute comics, animated videos and e-comics featuring Chacha Chaudhary to educate children towards Ganga and other rivers.
15,000 Myanmar nationals crossed into India since Feb 1 coup: UN
UN chief António Guterres has said that over 15,000 people from Myanmar are estimated to have crossed the border into India since the military coup on February 1. Four Indian states, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram, share border with Myanmar. “A further 7,000…crossed into Thailand, all of whom have returned and remain internally displaced in Myanmar,” he added.
DU colleges release 1st cut-off lists; 100% cut-offs in 2 courses at Hansraj, JMC, SRCC
Delhi University colleges on Friday started releasing their first cut-off lists for undergraduate courses. JMC has set a 100% cut-off for Psychology (H) and Hansraj College set a 100% cut off for BSc (H) Computer Science. St Stephens College has a 99.5% cut-off for BA Economics and Kirori Mal College has a 99% and above cut-off for several courses.
