Independence Day: NSS volunteers to participate as special guests at New Delhi

Nahan: Two volunteers Adarsh Kumar and Sakshi of the National Service Scheme unit of Government College Nahan will participate as special guests in the Independence Day celebrations to be held in New Delhi on August 15, 2024.

Program Officer Dr. Pankaj Chand told that 6 volunteers from colleges of entire Himachal Pradesh are participating in this Independence Day celebrations to be held in Delhi, out of which two volunteers have been selected from Nahan College.

Prof. told that this opportunity has been given to the National Service Scheme unit of Nahan College for the excellent work done in the past, which includes plastic management, disaster management, road safety and environmental protection etc.

He told that the volunteers of National Service Scheme are constantly ready for social work, which has established new dimensions in five different areas of National Service Scheme. He told that the National Service Scheme unit of Nahan College is included in the selected National Service Scheme units of the state.

College Principal Dr. on the selection of volunteers of Nahan College for the Independence Day celebrations to be held in Delhi. While congratulating Program Officer Dopankaj Chandak, Pro Lakshit and the entire unit, Prem Raj Bhardwaj has called upon the volunteers of the National Service Scheme Unit to do continuous service work.

This occasion not only highlights the potential of the volunteers, but also underlines the strong spirit of patriotism and service. Program Officer Dr Pankaj Chand said that the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort are a symbol of the country’s rich heritage and a celebration of freedom and unity. Volunteers Adarsh Kumar and Sakshi have demonstrated service through many community outreach programs.

His selection to participate in this historic program is the result of his selfless service and hard work. I also thank NSS State Officer HL Sharma and Youth Officers Regional Directorate, Chandigarh Jai Bhagwan for the selection.
