IAS officer Saurabh Jassal to interact with ‘Shining Star Awards 2024’ recipients in Dharamshala on May 21

Dharamshala: Meritorious students will have a unique opportunity to learn from IAS officer Saurabh Jassal at the ‘Shining Star Awards 2024’. Jassal, currently serving as the Additional Deputy Commissioner at the Kangra district headquarters in Himachal Pradesh, is an inspiration to many.
Jassal, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, overcame significant challenges to clear the UPSC exams. Despite a demanding corporate job, he persevered and achieved his IAS dream in his third attempt. Since then, he has served in various prestigious roles, including at the Chief Minister’s Office and as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Shimla.
“I have many engagements, but I will take out time to interact with the meritorious students of the region,” Jassal stated. He congratulated with the students who will be part of the event on May 21, 2024, emphasising the importance of such platforms in boosting the morale of students and encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
The first event of the second edition of the ‘Shining Star Awards’ will be organised at the auditorium of the government college in Dharamshala on May 21. Class X and Class XII students who have secured 85 per cent and above marks in their board examination are eligible to join the awards ceremony and can report at the venue for registration at 9 am.
