Threaten to stop night bus services if overtime arrears are not paid

Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) drivers and conductors union has warned the state government that night bus services would be stopped if their overtime arrears are not paid.
Union president Man Singh Thakur said the HRTC drivers and conductor have not gotten their overtime dues for the past 41 months. He said that the dues have reached Rs 65 crore. He also raised the issue of the arrears of DA of HRTC employees.
He urged the state government to hold talks with the union office-bearers by May 6 failing which the night bus services will be stopped from midnight all over the state.
A few days ago the union had raised the issue of the state government’s failure to pay salaries on time.
