While many third-party apps can easily download reels with a single click, they could steal user information and most of them are even filled with ads and offers sub-par user experience. However, there is a trick to downloading reels on Instagram without any third party.
Here is how you can download Instagram reels to your smartphone without any third-party app on Android and iOS devices.
- Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and start playing the reel that you are interested in downloading.
- Now, click on the share icon that looks like a paper plane.
- Now click on add reels to your story
- On the next page, click on the three dots in the top right corner and select save
- Now discard the story
- Now, the reel will be downloaded into the Instagram folder, which can be accessed via the Gallery app
