Dharamshala: Six disqualified Congress MLAs and three independent legislators issued a joint statement on Monday criticizing Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Accusing the government of resorting to false cases against legislators and their families to exert pressure for compromise, they labeled the filing of fake cases as “scheming tactics.”
The leaders asserted that they would not back down in this fight for dignity and would see it through. They highlighted the government’s hypocrisy, which, while targeting selected constituencies, is also undermining the public in those areas.
They labeled the Chief Minister as a betrayer, emphasizing that the real culprits deceive the public with false promises. The statement levelled allegations of involvement by the Chief Minister’s family in illegal mining and the manipulation of social welfare schemes for political gain. The leaders cautioned against succumbing to the Chief Minister’s authoritarian tactics, asserting the public’s trust in the law.
