Himachal weather update: Isolated parts experience drizzle, temperature expected to rise in next few days
TNR Desk
The weather has again changed in Himachal Pradesh following fresh snowfall in the higher reaches of the state. The snow has marked the return of slight chill in the middle and lower hills and the plains. Visitors who ventured to witness the snowfall found ample enjoyment in the scenic valleys.
According to the Meteorological Department, clear skies are anticipated across most of the state, with the possibility of drizzle in certain areas of upper Himachal. The clear weather forecast is also expected to bring about a rise in temperature. Capital city Shimla recorded a maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 13 degrees Celsius, as per the department’s forecast.
In the low-lying areas, noticeable changes in weather conditions have emerged. Intense sunlight during the day has initiated a sensation of heat, prompting residents and tourists alike to don lighter summer attire. Nevertheless, mild coolness still lingers during mornings and evening hours.
The escalation in temperatures is not unique to Himachal Pradesh alone as north India experiences a similar phenomenon, with daytime temperatures reminiscent of June-like heat. Even during the night, temperatures remain comparably high.
Looking forward, the Meteorological Department predicts a further rise in temperatures in the upcoming days, coupled with the possibility of light rain in hilly regions, which may bring temporary relief from the heat.
