Himachal weather: Monsoon remains weak, likely to regain momentum from tomorrow

The monsoon remained weak in most parts of Himachal Pradesh over the last 24 hours, with the capital Shimla and surrounding areas experiencing sunny weather. As a result, maximum temperatures have increased.
The Meteorological Centre in Shimla has forecasted the possibility of rain in some parts of the state on Tuesday (July 16, 2024), with an expectation that the monsoon will regain momentum from Wednesday. A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued for many areas on July 18 and 19.
Rain is predicted to continue in various parts of the state until July 22. Today, Shimla is witnessing cloudy skies with occasional sunshine. In contrast, last night saw varying rainfall across the state, with Naina Devi recording 34.2 mm, Rampur 7.4 mm, Jogindernagar 5 mm, Baijnath and Mashobra 2 mm each, Dalhousie 1 mm and Kufri 0.5 mm.
The minimum temperatures recorded were as follows: Shimla 18.6°C, Sundernagar 24.5°C, Bhuntar 21.8°C, Kalpa 14.8°C, Dharamsala 21.7°C, Una 25.6°C, Nahan 23.9°C, Palampur 20°C, Solan 22°C, Manali 17.4°C, Kangra 23.9°C, Mandi 25.5°C, Bilaspur 26.3°C, Hamirpur 26.1°C, Chamba 23.6°C, Dalhousie 16.2°C, Jubberhatti 22.2°C, Kufri 16.8°C, Kukumseri 12.4°C, Narkanda 14.8°C, Bharmour 18.7°C, Reckong Peo 18.1°C, Seubagh 20.5°C, Dhaula Kuan 27.6°C, Barthin 25.6°C, Samdo 15.8°C, Kasauli 20.4°C, Paonta Sahib 25°C, Sarahan 19.5°C, Dehra Gopipur 27°C, Tabo 11°C, Mashobra 18.2°C, Sainj 21.1°C and Bajaura 22.1°C.
