The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), a state government undertaking, has announced enticing monsoon discounts on stays at its hotels across the state.
As the summer tourist season winds down, the HPTDC is offering discounts ranging from 20 to 40 per cent, available to tourists from across the country for the next two months. This promotional offer will be valid from July 15 to September 13, 2024.
In a statement, the HPTDC confirmed that written orders have been issued to implement these discounts. However, certain exemptions apply: there will be no discounts at Hotel Iravali, Hotel Champak and Hotel Gaurikund in Bharmour (Chamba) during the Minjar fair, which runs from July 28 to August 4.
Additionally, discounts will not be available during the Manimahesh Yatra, scheduled from August 17 to September 15.
Hotel Dhauladhar, Dharamshala; Hotel Hatu, Narkanda; The Palace, Chail (main hotel); Hotel Manimahesh, Dalhousie; Hotel Geetanjali, Dalhousie; Hotel Apple Blossom, Fagu; and Gold Glade, Naldehra, have been offering 40 per cent discounts.
The HPTDC’s initiative aims to boost tourism during the monsoon season by making Himachal Pradesh’s scenic beauty and serene landscapes more accessible to travellers, said an official.
