Himachal students leave for Kerala tour
Trip organised by education dept under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan

Mandi: The Himachal Education Department, under its flagship program “Samagra Shiksha Abhiyaan,” on Saturday initiated a tour to Kerala for 26 students as part of the “Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat” initiative. Deputy Director of Higher Education, Amar Nath Rana, flagged off the students.
Speaking to TNR, Rana said that students from across the state were divided into two groups for the Kerala trip. The first group commenced their journey on January 22, and the second group is departing on Saturday. As part of the Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat Campaign, 120 students and 12 teachers from various districts are embarking on a Kerala excursion. Among them are 20 high-achieving 10th-grade students from Mandi district, 3 NSS and 3 NCC outstanding volunteers, and 2 teachers recognized for their excellent service in the Education Department.
Representing Mandi district on the Kerala trip are Rajesh Nanda, Physics lecturer from Pandoh Vidyalaya, and Shweta Sharma from Nanwan Vidyalaya. They mentioned that 21 female students and 5 male students from Mandi district are part of this Kerala trip. The journey will include visits to Padmanabha Temple, Kerala Science and Technology Museum, Napier Museum, Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, seashore, Kanyakumari, and other cultural programs with Kerala students.
