50.7% increase since its implementation

Despite failing economic health, Himachal Pradesh has registered a 50.7 percent increase in revenues through its GST collections, touching Rs 473.81 crores for July 2021.
Best performance
This is its best performance on the GST front so far since it was implemented throughout the country, according to the state excise and taxation department.
GST collection
GST collection for the first quarter of the financial year 2021-22 stood at Rs 1301.03 crores as compared to Rs 705.26 crores, marking a Rs 595 crore increase for the same period during the last financial year.
State going through rough patch
Himachal has been going through a rough patch economically and the present performance is a welcome respite in face of the pandemic which has thrown economic growth out of gear in several states throughout the country.
