Shimla: The spate of road accidents in Himachal Pradesh continues, with the latest incident reported under Dhalli police station in Shimla.
A car veered off the Lower Sangti link road, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to two others.
Shimla SP Sanjeev Gandhi said Gaurav Sharma, a local resident of Gawas, reported the accident. Sharma stated that he heard a loud noise and, along with his tenant Kamlesh, rushed to the scene.
They discovered two injured individuals lying in a gorge and a car overturned nearby. A third individual was trapped under the car. Upon rescuing him, they found him unconscious.
The victims were rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared Rajesh Kumar (26) of Baldeyan, Shimla, dead on arrival. The injured, Kuldeep (27) of Chamyana and Vijay (32) of Ghatni, are receiving treatment.
The police are investigating the incident, with preliminary reports indicating the car fell into a gorge, causing the accident.
