Chamba (Subhash Mahajan)
The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the historic Chaugan Ground in Chamba on Sunday (January 26, 2025).
The event was graced by Himachal Pradesh Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister, Chander Kumar, who unfurled the national flag and took the salute of a grand parade.
The parade featured around 13 contingents, including personnel from the police, home guards, NCC, NSS and various school students. Adding to the spirit of the celebration, a cultural programme was organised, where schoolchildren showcased their talent through vibrant performances.
The event concluded with the felicitation of distinguished citizens and meritorious students of Chamba by the chief guest, recognising their contributions in various fields.
Minister Chander Kumar, while addressing the gathering, emphasised the significance of Republic Day and urged the citizens to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution.
