Heavy fog is being reported in the plains and low-lying areas of the state, particularly in Mandi, Bilaspur, Nurpur of Kangra, Paonta Sahib, Dhaula Kuan of Sirmaur and Baddi of Solan. The Meteorological Department has again forecast the possibility of heavy fog in these areas for the next two days.
However, there is currently no likelihood of rain or snowfall in the region. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain clear in the state until January 24. This means residents will have to endure an extended period without rain or snowfall. The state continues to be in the grip of a dry spell even as chilly temperature and fog has been impacting normal life in various parts of Himachal Pradesh.
