SHIMLA: The weather in Himachal Pradesh is again expected to change from February 18 as a fresh western disturbance is set to get active over the state.

The Meteorological Centre in Shimla has issued a weather alert for Himachal Pradesh, warning of potential disruptions due to the activity of the western disturbance. According to forecast, several parts of the state are likely to experience rain and snowfall on February 12 and 13, particularly in high mountainous regions.

Following this spell of precipitation, the weather is expected to clear up from February 14 to 16. However, a fresh western disturbance is forecasted to become active starting from the night of February 17. As a result, rain and snowfall are expected across the state from February 18 onwards, with widespread precipitation expected on February 19 and 20.

Residents have been advised to brace for a drop in temperatures during this period. The anticipated rain and snowfall could impact travel and outdoor activities, particularly in higher-altitude areas.
