The weather in all districts of Himachal Pradesh is expected to remain clear until September 12. While some plain areas may see light rainfall, most regions will have clear weather.
Dr. Sandeep, a scientist from the Meteorological Center, stated that there is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorms in some areas. However, the overall forecast suggests clear weather for most regions. Monsoon is still active in the state, but continuous rainfall is expected to provide relief until September 12.
Dr. Sandeep mentioned that the withdrawal of the monsoon from the state typically occurs until September 24, but no specific date for withdrawl can be predicted at the moment.
He highlighted that from June 1 to August 31, the state recorded 33% excess rainfall. Kangra, Una, and Chamba districts experienced normal rainfall, while Lahaul-Spiti received less than normal rainfall. Solan saw a 100% excess, Shimla 90%, and Bilaspur 80% excess rainfall.
Additionally, light snowfall in higher altitude areas of Lahaul-Spiti on September 5 caused a temperature drop of 5 to 10 degrees Celsius. Kangra district also experienced a temperature drop of up to 2 degrees Celsius due to snowfall in higher regions. Other districts are currently recording normal temperatures.
