Himachal Pradesh school education board declares results of teacher eligibility exam

Dharamshala: The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has announced the results of the Teacher Eligibility Exam conducted for eight subjects. According to Dr. Major Vishal Sharma, secretary of the Board, out of the 41,658 candidates who applied for the exam, 38,336 appeared. Among them, 3,322 were absent, 9,973 passed, and 28,363 failed.

In the JBT D.El.Ed category, 7,936 candidates applied, with 7,427 appearing for the exam. Approximately 509 were absent, 2,436 passed, and the pass percentage stood at 32.8%. Similarly, in the Shastri category, out of 2,176 applicants, 1,934 appeared, with a pass percentage of 45.14%. In the TGT Non-Medical category, 7,929 applied, 7,326 appeared, and the pass percentage was 7.28%. For LT, out of 3,297 applicants, 3,022 appeared, with an 11.81% pass percentage.

In the TGT Medical category, out of 5,273 applicants, 4,880 appeared, with a pass percentage of 28.61%. Lastly, in the TGT Arts category, out of 14,925 applicants, 13,677 appeared, with a pass percentage of 31.89%. Additionally, in Punjabi, 114 candidates applied, with 67 appearing for the exam, resulting in a pass percentage of 23.88%. Only 8 candidates applied for Urdu, with 3 appearing for the exam, resulting in a zero pass percentage.
