Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhu calls on Vice-President Dhankhar, will also meet PM President

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in New Delhi on Monday (January 23, 2023).

It was a courtesy call and the first meeting of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu with the Vice President of India after becoming the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.

The Himachal Chief Minister had left for Delhi from Shimla on Sunday to meet top dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is slated to meet the Prime Minister and the President today or tomorrow during his stay in Delhi. The Himachal Chief Minister’s office had sought time to meet both, confirmed CM Sukhu.

CM Sukhu was scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 19 after becoming the Chief Minister, but he was found positive in the Covid-19 test, which was conducted as per protocol before the meeting. The Chief Minister said that he would not raise any issue related to the state during the meeting as it was only a courtesy call.
