The Himachal High Court on Friday reserved its order on the plea of DGP Sanjay Kundu and Kangra SP Shalini Agnihotri seeking the revoking of their respective transfer orders.
After hearing the arguments of all parties concerned the whole day, the High Court bench of Chief Justice M S Ramchandra Rao and Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua kept the order reserved.
The court heard the DGP vs business Nishant Sharma case. The petitioner, businessman Nishant Sharma, appeared in court and put forth his arguments.
Sharma accused Kangra SP Agnihotri of dereliction of duty and sought her suspension. The court was apprised on behalf of the DGP that the only reason behind contacting Sharma was to resolve the dispute between the two parties through mediation.
The court was apprised on behalf of the DGP that he (the DGP) is due for retirement within three months. It was argued that the DGP was innocent and he sought an honourable retirement from the police force.
