Inspector Vijay Kumar, the ‘State Icon of the Election Department’ of Himachal Pradesh, cast his vote along with his entire family at Kasumpti in Shimla on Saturday.
Vijay has been part of the Himachal Police Orchestra team ‘Harmony of the Pines’ and it under his leadership that the Election Department had produced a voter awareness video song.
The song, launched by Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Manish Garg during an IPL match in Dharamshala on May 10, has garnered over 5 million views in just 20 days on social media.
Inspector Vijay expressed his gratitude to the Election Commission of India, Manish Garg, the HP Police chief and all the listeners for their support and the opportunity to contribute to voter awareness.
