Himachal Congress MLA criticizes BJP, alleges undue favours to borrowers

The Newz Radar

Dharamshala: Congress MLA Keval Singh Pathania accused BJP leaders of portraying their party as the strongest and most influential, yet questioned why loans were being provided to borrowers if the party was indeed the strongest.

Launching an attack on the BJP at a press conference in Dharamshala on Saturday, Pathania questioned the BJP for not issuing a ticket to sitting MP Kishan Kapoor of BJP if the party was strong.

Pathania talked about the support former Congress leader and now BJP candidate for Dharamshala Assembly by-elections, Sudhir Sharma, received from all Congress leaders and the Dharamshala Congress when he was given a ticket by the Congress in 2012.

Expressing concern over the current state of affairs created by the BJP, Pathania feared that the upcoming elections might not be fair. He claimed that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had fulfilled five out of 10 guarantees, ensuring the longevity of the Sukhu government. Pathania credited the development of Dharamshala to the Congress party’s efforts and affirmed that the Congress would contest all booths in the upcoming Dharamshala by-election, raising awareness about rising unemployment and inflation among the public.

Pathania confidently predicted victories for the Congress party in all six seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and six seats in the assembly by-elections.
