Himachal Congress chief gives charge of 3 bypoll seats to ministers & MLAs, see who goes where
Himachal Pradesh Congress president Pratibha Singh has delegated the election campaign responsibilities for the July 10 Assembly by-elections in Himachal Pradesh to senior party leaders.
For the Nalagarh Assembly by-election, Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan, along with Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Dhaniram Shandil, former Assembly Speaker Ganguram Musafir, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, former Minister Ram Lal Thakur, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthy, Deputy Speaker of Assembly Vinay Kumar, MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries Sunder Thakur, Mohan Lal Brakta and Ram Kumar Chaudhary, and MLAs Ajay Solanki and Vinod Sultanpuri have been appointed as coordinators.
In Hamirpur, TCP and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, former minister Kaul Singh Thakur, Rangeela Ram Rao, Chairman of 7th State Finance Commission Nand Lal, MLAs Chandershekhar, Rakesh Kalia, Neeraj Nayyar, Suresh Kumar, Harish Janartha, Bhuvaneshwar Gaur, Sudarshan Singh Bablu, Ranjit Rana and Vivek Sharma will serve as coordinators.
For the Dehra by-election, Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar, former MP Viplov Thakur, former minister Asha Kumari, Kuldeep Kumar, Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, Youth Sports Services Minister Yadvendra Goma, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Kishori Lal, Chairman of Tourism Development Corporation RS Bali, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ashish Butail, MLAs Bhawani Pathania, Sanjay Rattan, Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, Malendra Rajan and Anuradha Rana have been assigned as coordinators. Sunil Sharma Bittu, former MLA Bamber Thakur, Pawan Thakur and Vijay Pal Singh have also been deployed as election coordinators in Dehra.
Cabinet ministers, former ministers, MLAs and senior booth-level officials will oversee campaigning in the panchayats of the Dehra, Nalagarh and Hamirpur constituencies.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and state Congress president Pratibha Singh will visit all three constituencies. The Congress is aiming to secure victory in the Dehra constituency after 24 years. Recently, the Chief Minister held a comprehensive discussion with party officials regarding the strategy for this objective.
Party sources indicate that senior leaders from across the state will be stationed in Dehra to support party candidate Kamlesh Thakur’s campaign.
