Dharamshala: Congress leader Chandrakumar, overseeing the Kangra-Chamba Lok Sabha constituency, held a press conference in Dharamshala, to announce that BJP candidate Sudhir Sharma will face scrutiny in the upcoming assembly by-elections.
Chandrakumar vowed to expose Sharma’s defection from Congress and assist party workers in highlighting his true character to the public.
Moreover, Chandrakumar emphasized revealing Sharma’s assets and hotel holdings before the by-elections to inform the electorate about his real persona.
He criticized Sharma’s shift to BJP after serving in Congress, calling it shameful and disloyal to the party that had honoured him and his father.
Chandrakumar claimed that despite Sharma’s statements about feeling suffocated in Congress, he had similarly expressed discomfort while in BJP, indicating opportunism.
Chandrakumar asserted that the people of Dharamshala had rejected Sharma, as evident from the efforts to gather support from Baijnath and Kangra. He concluded by stating that the era of manipulative politics, as represented by Sharma’s actions, would soon come to an end, with the electorate seeing through such betrayals and handing Sharma a defeat in the by-elections.
