Thakur to also meet Union Cabinet ministers

Shimla | TNR
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur left for Delhi on Friday on a two-day visit during which he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He would present a report card of all his ministers to the Prime Minister. Thakur is also scheduled to meet some Union Cabinet ministers to seek financial help for some pending projects in Himachal Pradesh.
Speculation rife over Delhi visit
Even as the CM left for Delhi, there was talk within the BJP here about the possibility of a reshuffle in the state Cabinet on the lines of what happened in the Union Cabinet. BJP high command is said to assessing the performance of all ministers and chief ministers in the country. Uttarakhand has already seen a change twice at the helm of affairs. Two chief ministers of Uttarakhand have been replaced within the last six months.
There is talk about the inclusion of new ministers from Chamba and Shimla districts.
Discussions with PM on impending bypolls likely
One of the topics that would come up during the talk between the PM and Thakur is the impending bypolls for Mandi Lok Sabha seat and assembly seats of Jubbal-Kotkhai, Fatehpur and Arki.
Corona third wave
The PM has already cautioned CMs of all hill states to be extremely careful in enforcing Covid protocols. It is likely that Thakur would get further instructions on how to avoid complacency and prevent hill stations from becoming super spreaders.
