Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presented the Himachal Pradesh Budget 2024 today, aiming to satisfy all sectors.
The budget includes several key announcements, including an increase in wages for MGNREGA workers and a hike in honorarium for Panchayati Raj members.
Key Points:
MGNREGA workers’ wages increased to ₹300, up from ₹240, marking a historic rise of ₹60.
Five thousand villages will be declared open defecation-free in the financial year 2024.
Starting from April 1, ration cardholders can receive food grains and cooking oil in consumer societies.
Women MGNREGA workers with an annual income of less than ₹1 lakh will receive a ₹3 lakh assistance to build houses.

Announcement of Two New Schemes:
