Himachal accident: Four men killed on spot as car falls into gorge in Kullu’s Anni

Four persons were killed when the car they were travelling in fell into a gorge in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.
According to information, the accident occurred at Choinala on the Ranabagh-Karshala road under Anni police station of Kullu district. The victims were travelling in a Maruti Alto car and all were killed on the spot.
As soon as information about the accident was received, the locals as well as a police team rushed to the spot. The deceased have been identified as Surendra Kumar (40), son of Dharm Chand; Sushil Kumar (36), son of Mansa Ram, both residents of Bishal in Digedh; Bir Singh (43), son of Moti Ram; and Sanjeev Kumar (34), son of Roshan Lal, both residents of Khaneri.
Local BJP MLA Lokendra Kumar has expressed grief over the deaths and he too rushed to the spot. The police have registered a case and have initiated inquest proceedings. The bodies were shifted to a local hospital and subsequently handed over to the family members of the deceased.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured when two Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses collided at Old Bus Stand in Shimla. Those injured included a woman and both have been admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Regional Hospital in Shimla for treatment.
