Him Medicon 2024 Kicks Off in Mandi with National Medical Experts in Attendance

Mandi: – The Mandi branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) inaugurated the two-day medical conference, Him Medicon 2024, at Sanskriti Sadan yesterday. The conference brought together leading medical experts for an in-depth exchange on advanced research, insights, and practices.

Prof. Dr. Surendra Kashyap, Vice Chancellor of Atal Medical and Research University, officiated the event, lauding the Mandi IMA branch for organizing the conference and emphasizing its impact on enhancing the skills and knowledge of doctors.

A Platform for Knowledge Sharing Across Medical Specialties

After a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Him Medicon 2024 attracted 70 doctors from Himachal Pradesh and 75 from across India. Through lectures, case studies, and discussions on recent advancements, the conference provides doctors with a unique opportunity to stay updated on cutting-edge medical research and practices.

Approximately 30 specialist doctors delivered presentations on the first day, sharing expertise on critical issues and new innovations in the field.

Dr. Kiranbir Singh, President of IMA’s Mandi branch, described Him Medicon as essential for ongoing medical education, fostering collaboration, and enhancing the skills of healthcare professionals. Distinguished guest Dr. Devendra Marwah, a renowned surgeon, contributed to the sessions, enriching discussions with his expertise.
