Oshin Sharma, Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officer, who had filed a complaint of domestic violence against her husband MLA Vishal Nehria, has filed a petition in the family court at Dharamshala before honorable judge PR Pahadia on Thursday morning seeking judicial separation.
Advocate Manish Kumar Singh appeared on behalf of Sharma. He said that a notice has been issued to the respondent to appear before the court on August 31st.
Sharma had filed a complaint before the police in June but she refused to register an FIR alleging emotional pressure was being exerted on her. On June 25, she had released an 11-minute video clip on social media narrating various events of cruelty against her by her husband.
Sharma is a 2020 batch HAS officer. She had got married to Nehria, 32, on April 26, 2021.
Nehria was elected MLA on BJP ticket from Dharamshala in the bypolls on October 24, 2019.
