The Himachal government has started preparations for the second groundbreaking ceremony. Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be invited for the ceremony.
The Chief Minister will be visiting New Delhi to discuss this and other important issues on Wednesday.
Big companies interested
He said that big companies have shown the willingness to invest in Himachal and the government itself will ensure employment opportunities for 15,000 people of the state.
There is also a proposal for setting up a film city in the state for which the company concerned has been demanding land on the state border.
The government is considering the proposal. The industries minister also said that a bulk drug park in the state will hopefully be a reality soon.
MoUs signed
Two days ago, the Himachal government signed 27 MoUs worth Rs 3307 crores at a programme organised in Chandigarh.
These projects are expected to generate employment for at least 15,000 people on completion.
Earlier, the state government had organised the first groundbreaking ceremony in Dharamshala.
