Govt says it will clear Collegium recommendations soon as SC calls it ‘serious issue’

After the Supreme Court called the Centre’s delay in clearing the Collegium’s recommendations for the elevation of five High Court judges to the apex court a “very serious issue”, the Centre today assured it would happen soon. The court recommended the names of Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah, Justice Manoj Misra, Justice Pankaj Mithal, Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar.
