Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has convened a cabinet meeting on February 9 to discuss various important matters.
Among the agenda items is the anticipated approval of the Governor’s address for the upcoming budget session of the Assembly, which will highlight the achievements of the current government in its first year, focusing on initiatives such as the Sukhashray Yojana, Green Energy, and the Start Up Scheme, all aimed at fostering self-reliance in Himachal Pradesh.
Additionally, the cabinet will deliberate on the results of the JOA IT exam and the filling of vacant positions across different departments.
The Chief Minister has instructed for a thorough discussion on the JOA IT exam results with the Education Minister and legal experts before making a decision. Furthermore, there may be approval for the recruitment process to fill vacant positions ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, alongside considerations of proposals from various departments.
Meanwhile, the Finance and Planning Department is diligently preparing for the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, with officers and staff dedicatedly working even on holidays to finalize the budget draft. Once completed, the Chief Minister will review and discuss the budget draft with officials to ensure it aligns with the state’s developmental goals.
