Implementing the decision of the Central government, the state government will give a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the families of common people who lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Himachal.
The government has authorised the District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMA) of all districts to pay the compensation.
The revenue department has also issued a notification in this regard. Procedures to avail compensation
In order to avail this compensation, the victim’s family has to apply through the prescribed claim form along with the necessary documents.
The compensation amount will be provided through Aadhar linked Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) within 30 days of applying.
The government has also constituted a four-member grievance redressal committee, which will decide the cause of death and claim disputes.
