Dharamshala/Shimla: A fuel shortage crisis has gripped the region, prompting the public to question the preparedness of authorities. As petrol pumps grapple with dwindling fuel supplies, unrest among the public has led to chaotic scenes at stations, with massive crowds and long queues becoming the norm. TNR viewers have shared videos depicting the urgency and frustration unfolding at petrol pumps across the region.
Akshay Kumar, a Kangra resident, expressed his struggle in securing fuel for his two-wheeler, emphasizing the lack of preparedness by the district administration. “This is an essential commodity, and everyone is tense,” he added.
Anil Sharma, residing in Dharamshala’s Choran Khad area, mentioned his health concerns but had to rush to petrol pumps due to the family’s worries about the petrol and diesel shortage in the area.
“My children asked me to get fuel to rush to the hospital in case medication is needed or a visit to the doctor is required,” he added.
The situation has hit hard for elderly couples living alone, girls studying from far-off areas, and parents of students studying outside the state, all facing mental stress.
