Kinnaur district was cut off from the rest of Himachal following a fresh landslide on national highway number 5 near Jyuri on Sunday afternoon.
No loss of life or any damage was reported in the landslide that blocked vehicular traffic for hours even as work commenced to remove the debris.
Vehicular traffic stuck
Long queues of vehicles were seen on either side of the landslide spot. Among other vehicles, at least 50 trucks transporting apples were also stuck.
Several landslides on NH-5
This year the stretch between Rampur and Kinnaur on NH-5 has seen over a dozen landslides. Three days ago a landslide at the same spot near Jyuri had blocked the highway for several hours.
Rock sliding in Batseri and Nygelseri areas of Kinnaur had caused extensive damage.
Shimla road hit
Landslide on Brock-Host-Vikas Nagar road in Shimla obstructed vehicular traffic for nearly an hour and a half.
