A fresh landslide on NH-05 in Nyugalseri’s occurred on Monday, injuring six passengers traveling by an HRTC bus coming from Tabo of Reckong Peo depot to Rampur.
Stones, debris fell on bus The landslide damaged the bus after stones and debris fell on it at around 11 am.
Injured passengers were taken to Juri Hospital for treatment. This was the second massive landslide at Nyugalseri since the first one on August 11, which killed 28 people and injured 13.
Rescue operations during the first one lasted six days to bring out people trapped under the rubble.
In view of recurrent incidents, the local administration has decided to deploy one home guard or police personnel daily at Nyugalseri so that accidents can be avoided.
