Former Union Minister Anand Sharma calls on Himachal CM Sukhu in Shimla

Former Union Minister Anand Sharma paid a courtesy visit to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla on Tuesday (September 3, 2024).
The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, Town and Country Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani and Sukhu’s MLA-wife Kamlesh Thakur.
The gathering was marked by discussions on various issues of importance to the state.
Anand Sharma belongs to Shimla and owns a house in Keleston near Lakkar Bazaar. The Congress veteran contested the recent Lok Sabha election from Kangra, but lost to Dr Rajeev Bhardwaj of the BJP. It was Sharma’s first electoral fight, be it for any Assembly or the Lok Sabha. Before that, he had always been a Rajya Sabha member.
