‘Jio Phone Next’ smartphone launch by Google & Jio delayed amid trials, chip shortage
Reliance Industries has announced that the launch of ‘Jio Phone Next’, the 4G smartphone made by Google and Jio, which was scheduled for September 10, has been delayed. It added that the smartphone is in “advanced trials” and will be rolled out before Diwali, which is in November. RIL noted that this additional time will also help “mitigate” global semiconductor shortages.
