Emraan to star alongside Akshay in remake of Driving Licence: Reports

Emraan Hashmi will reportedly share screen space with Akshay Kumar in the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving Licence’. According to reports, the upcoming remake will be directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. ‘Driving Licence’, which released in 2019, featured Prithviraj Sukumaran, Miya George and Suraj Venjaramoodu, among others.

Jayasurya’s ‘Sunny’ to be screened at multiple international film festivals


Malayalam actor Jayasurya’s 100th film ‘Sunny’ will be shown at Calella Film Festival in October this year and Dhaka International Film Festival in January next year. ‘Sunny’ is selected in the competition section and is the only Indian film in the Calella Film Festival right now, director Ranjith Sankar said. The film is set in the aftermath of coronavirus-induced lockdown.

Nushrat has been nominated for her portrayal of a house help in the film ‘Ajeeb Dastaan’. Britney Spears’ father suspended as her conservator after 13 years


A Los Angeles judge has suspended Britney Spears’ father from the 13-year-long conservatorship ending his role controlling the singer’s $60 million estate, saying the arrangement “reflects a toxic environment”. The decision comes months after Spears pleaded for her father’s removal, saying, “I want my life back.” Spears’ father will be replaced with an accountant, John Zabel, on a temporary basis.
