Priyanka Chopra apologises after controversy over her show ‘The Activist’


Priyanka Chopra apologised for her participation in CBS show ‘The Activist’ in the wake of controversy and social media backlash over its format. “The show got it wrong…and I’m sorry…my participation in it disappointed many of you,” she wrote. The show, which was going to be a five-episode competition series between activists, will be changed to a one-time documentary special.

 Court rejects CBI’s plea for further probe in Jiah Khan suicide case


A special CBI court has rejected the plea filed by the central agency for further investigation in Jiah Khan suicide case, in which Sooraj Pancholi is accused. CBI had sought permission to send dupatta, purportedly used by Jiah to hang herself, to Central Forensic Laboratory in Chandigarh for further examination and to retrieve deleted messages exchanged between Jiah and Sooraj.

Anthony Mackie to play lead in ‘Twisted Metal’ live-action series

Anthony Mackie has been roped in to play the lead role in the series adaptation of video game ‘Twisted Metal’. He’ll play the role of John Doe, a milkman with no memory of his past. Mackie was recently seen in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’, in which he reprised his MCU role of The Falcon.


Gaurav Chopra voices Dwayne Johnson in Hindi version of Jungle Cruise

Gaurav Chopra has lent his voice for Dwayne Johnson’s character in the Hindi-dubbed version of upcoming film ‘Jungle Cruise’. Sharing the trailer of the film, he wrote, “It was so much fun giving my voice for #ChrisHemsworth for #Thor…earlier but…lending my voice for #Dwaynejohnson has been an exciting challenge.” The action-adventure film will release in India on September 24.
