Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ delayed due to COVID

The release of Tom Cruise’s upcoming films, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and ‘Mission: Impossible 7’, has been postponed due to the surge in COVID-19 cases around the world. ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, which was scheduled to release on November 19, will now premiere on May 27, 2022. Meanwhile, ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ will release on September 30, 2022, instead of May 27, 2022.

Oh My God 2′ goes on floors, Akshay Kumar to join cast in October

Filmmaker Amit Rai’s ‘Oh My God 2’, the second instalment to the 2012 film ‘OMG: Oh My God!’, recently went on floors in Mumbai, as per reports. Pankaj Tripathi reportedly started shooting for the film on Thursday. Akshay Kumar, who’ll reprise his role as Lord Krishna in the upcoming sequel, will join the cast in October, reports stated.

Actor Sidharth Shukla’s sudden death on Thursday, reportedly after a cardiac arrest, shocked his fans and had the entertainment fraternity. A team of three doctors carried out the post-mortem, which was recorded on video, sources said: “no external or internal injuries were found”. The viscera samples have been sent for a chemical analysis. “A histopathology will be done and only after that the cause of death will be clear as per reports.
