Ensure prompt resolution of pending revenue cases: DC directs officials

Dharamshala: Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa has directed departmental officials in the district to ensure the prompt resolution of pending revenue-related cases to prevent any inconvenience to the public.
Chairing a review meeting of the Revenue Department of Kangra district at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Dharamshala on Monday, Bairwa stated that the state government is committed to timely disposal of revenue matters.
He emphasized that the initiation of Revenue Lok Adalats by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is a step towards this goal.
The Deputy Commissioner mentioned that revenue matters directly affect the daily lives of the common people due to issues like land partition, succession, and demarcation.
He stressed the importance of regular interaction between revenue officers and the public for swift resolution of such matters.
Bairwa directed revenue officers to prioritize fulfilling designated targets within specified timelines to ensure prompt relief to people involved in revenue-related cases. He suggested that officers should handle land-related matters on a weekly and daily basis at the sub-divisional level to improve efficiency and transparency in the system.
Bairwa urged revenue officers to make personal efforts with diligence to handle revenue cases consistently. He emphasized the need to take effective steps to complete the pending online records of revenue for the Tehsils. He suggested organizing regular meetings at the sub-divisional level to achieve this goal.
Earlier, ADM Dr Harish Gajju welcomed the chief guest and provided detailed information about various activities of the Revenue Department. All ADMs, tehsildars, and various officers from Kangra district were present on this occasion.
