Chaos prevailed at Una border on Monday as thousands of devotees were told to return because they neither had a certificate of full vaccination nor carried RT-PCR negative reports.
Devotees started arriving from midnight
Devotees had started converging at the Una border from midnight and only those carrying the certificates or the RT-PCR report were allowed to cross over and head for various shaktipeeth temples.
Teams posted at all entry points
Police teams were posted at Gagret, Pandoga, Mehatpur, Marwari and other checkposts in Una district. Apart from police personnel teams of other departments were also posted.
Slogans raised against police
At Gagret checkpost angry devotees, who were denied entry, raised slogans against the police and state government. However, they were told about the seriousness of the situation and the need to follow Covid-19 protocols. The disappointed devotees said that they were not aware of the restrictions.
