Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri praises Team TNR for Shining Star Awards, calls it novel initiative
UNA: Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has lauded Team The Newz Radar for their innovative social initiative Shining Star Awards. The initiative aims to encourage meritorious students, particularly those from humble backgrounds, by recognising their achievements.
As the Chief Guest at the Shining Star Awards in Una on Wednesday (June 26, 2024), Agnihotri praised TNR Political Editor Gopal S Puri and Executive Editor Sunil Chadha. He highlighted their remarkable accomplishments in journalism at a young age and commended their efforts to drive social change through Shining Star Awards.
“The Shining Star Awards are working wonders in motivating talented students from all walks of life,” said Agnihotri. He asked the meritorious students who were honoured to strike a balance between development and ecology so that the future generations could remain safe.
Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, who was the Special Guest, encouraged the students not to get deterred by challenges and strive towards excellence. Earlier, Gopal Puri and Sunil Chadha welcomed Mukesh Agnihotri and highlighted how he had developed infrastructure not only in his Assembly constituency Haroli but across Himachal Pradesh.
Over 350 meritorious Class 10 and Class 12 students, who have secured 85 per cent or higher marks in their board examination, were honoured at Shining Star Awards, organised at the auditorium of the Skill Development Institute at Palakhvah in Haroli (Una)
The Newz Radar, the trusted and only English digital news network based out of Himachal Pradesh, has been organising such awards functions in every district of Himachal. Before Una, the event was organised in Bilaspur on Sunday (June 23) where nearly 300 meritorious students were felicitated.
The June 26 event in Una was the sixth episode of the second edition of the prestigious Shining Star Awards, which were instituted in 2023 to celebrate the extraordinary academic achievements of the super brains, among them several from ordinary backgrounds. Before Bilaspur, the award functions were organised in Dharamshala, Chamba, Kullu and Mandi this year.
